Award-winning comedian Chipper Lowell has been described as an “artistic cyclone of talent & comedy.” Equally adept at unusual stunts, bizarre magic, dangerous juggling, razor-sharp adlibs, and twisted, original stand-up comedy, he is a true eclectic fireball of a performer.
A longtime favorite of comedy insiders, international promoters, college & university bookers, and corporate event buyers & planners, Chipper has also spent the last 20 years presenting his unique brand of infectiously amusing mayhem to even wider audiences in theatres, comedy clubs, campuses, and casino showrooms across the United States and Canada.
In 2006, his critically acclaimed stage show - "The Chipper Lowell Experience!" - was extended THREE TIMES for an incredible 12-month run at the Horizon Casino Resort in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. With over 570 performances in total, the show earned glowing reviews, fantastic word-of-mouth and top honors including Chipper being named (for a second time) "Comedy Magician of the Year!" by the International Magicians Society. The comic was also noted as one of the top three comedians of the year by the Sacramento Bee for best stage performance. (Along with Lewis Black and Lily Tomlin. Not bad company!)
Born into a circus family has certainly had its advantages for Chipper. His father was a well-known, professional clown under the big top with Ringling Bros., while his mother was a top flight gymnast and aerialist who performed death-defying aerial acts such as “Iron Jaw” where she suspended herself several stories above the crowds using only her teeth. (Yes, you read that right!) “Thanks to Mom, we always had a bottle opener whenever we needed one," jokes Chipper.
Not content to merely soak up the vibrant circus atmosphere of his wacky childhood, Chipper also became an ardent student of other performing arts such as theatre, film, and even vaudeville. By age 17, he had already developed his first one-man show, "The ChiPPeR ShoW!", which took him all around the world, along with appearances & acting roles on television & film.
Within 10 years, Chipper was a "regular" at casino showrooms, comedy clubs nationwide. He soon became a favorite with IMPROV comedy club audiences as well. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno has used Chipper and his visual antics, and he's appeared on other top television programs, sit-coms, commercials, and films.
Probably what Chipper is best known for though, are his many corporate appearances each and every year. His unique brand of wit, original comedy magic and audience participation have delighted literally thousands of audiences during industry conventions, banquets, award ceremonies, recognition dinners, product roll-outs, seminars, brainstorming sessions, sales meetings, and more for over a decade.
This energetic red-head currently splits his time between performing live and writing and consulting for a wide variety of stage, TV, corporate and motion picture projects. His greatest joy however is building cool model railroads & cities out of Lego's with his son, and stealing the covers nightly from his wife.
