2016 marks the third season of “Masters Of Illusion” on the CW network, and once again I am honored to be making a few special guest appearances on this hit TV show. I always enjoy coming up with new routines for audiences, and this series provides the perfect platform to debut them not only in front of a studio audience but also to the millions of viewers who catch the show worldwide. About 4-5 months before we tape, we start the creative process of “Wouldn’t it be cool if I could….” and little by little the new tricks and jokes take shape. I always love the journey — from building the prototypes to trying them out in my live stage shows to see if they’re worth keeping…..or throwing away and starting over from scratch. Audience reactions are often what I call the final ‘judge and jury’ and they quickly help you discover where those wonderful moments are throughout the routine. (and where something needs work! 🙂 ) I’m not kidding….it’s sort of magical how it all comes together. 🙂
