I always love the audiences at the C&M Club and the owner, Mike Lacey, and I got to chatting during this week and realized it was my 25th anniversary of appearing there!  Wow!  I owe so much to this very unique club – learning from the best early on when I first started out.  There’s the old saying, “To play better tennis, you play with better tennis players”.   And the level of the comedians who worked here has always been OUTSTANDING.  (Here’s a few of the many I’ve been fortunate enough to share the stage with over the last 2+ decades whenever I happen to be in town:  Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Lovitz, Allen Havey, Garry Shandling, Jay Leno, Cristela Alonzo,  Alonzo Bodden, Larry Miller, Chelsie Handler, and the list goes on!  I’ve even had to FOLLOW Seinfeld and Shandling onstage – TWICE!  How’s that for ‘comedy boot camp’?  🙂   )

The rest of the week several friends and buddies popped in to do sets, which is always nice to catch up with them back in the green room.  And for one night, Seinfeld writer/producer and a fantastic comedianne, Carol Leifer, showed up to entertain the masses.  I’m a big fan of hers and we last got to work together doing a high-end charity benefit in Reno, along with singer, Michael Bolton, Songwriter, Paul Williams, and many others.  Carol was as funny as ever, and the audience loved her.

I always feel very blessed to perform at this wonderful club.  And for everything I’ve gleaned from fellow performers, comedians, and staff while working there.   It’s my ‘go to’ place to work on new material and comedy magic bits that will eventually find their way into my touring show, or as part of my corporate performances.   Big THANK YOU’s to all who work there!  And the love and support I’ve received over the years, every time I stop in for a visit.  If you’ve not been there, I can’t recommend the club enough.  Not only is EVERY SINGLE NIGHT an amazing of top talent (and surprise celebrity ‘drop-ins’!) but they have a full dinner menu which is delicious.  If you’re into live comedy, this should be on your bucket-list!   🙂

Hi Peeps!     : )

The last 5 weeks have been a BLAST, appearing alongside the legendary Osmond Brothers in the new hit show titled….. well, “The HITS!”   Not to toot our own horn, but the show has received enthusiastic standing ovations for every single performance during this run, and we’re so grateful for the rave reviews, applause, and support!

I’ve had the opportunity to work with the brothers last year in their Christmas Spectacular show at the Andy Williams MOON RIVER Theatre (which sold out almost EVERY night!) and it was so much fun, that we agreed to several multiple contracts for this year and beyond.  The brothers, Merrill (pictured to the left), Jay, and Jimmy are of course part of the family that also includes several older brothers, as well as Donnie and Marie.   Their harmonies are still amazing, and it was a thrill to watch them perform.  “Pro’s” through and  through!

We wrapped out final show this Saturday to the ‘perfect audience’, and as usual, I might have ad-libbed and improvised just a little bit longer due to the energy in the theater.   So Fun!  The brothers will soon fly to England for another series of concert dates, while I remain at the Moon River Theatre, to begin the next version of “The HITS!” with country superstar, COLLIN RAYE!  (We start Monday!)

During this last week, I got to watch Collin rehearse with the show’s band, and he’s just stellar.  Tremendous voice, and a great sense of humor.   We’re both looking forward to performing together, and I can guarantee this will be one heck of a show!  Collin will be singing a heaping dose of his 16 No.#1 singles from his 24 “Top Ten” records, and there’s even a heartfelt tribute to the legend, Glen Campbell, including Collin’s own versions of his classics.  I’ll be bringing the comedy magic, and audience interaction, and mayhem.   In short, a wonderful variety type of show suitable for all ages!  Hope you can make it!
